Hey ! Most cats are generally really good with furniture etc if you provide them with things such as cat post , toys etc to keep them stimulated. It’s also important to correct them if they are doing things they are not supposed to do so they can learn. I’ve never had any issues with Bella destroying furniture around the house. Shes an indoor cat so I’m always looking for new things to keep her occupied. 💕

Aww thank you so much ! I’m glad my videos have been useful to you ☺️ When I got Bella she was around 3 months old so by that stage she was already used to eating solids. I brought what the breeder was feeding her which was the Hilife kitten pouches and the purina kitten biscuits. I did eventually switch over to nature’s variety because Purina is not a food brand. I also started introducing other kitten foods into her diet so she had a variety of different ones. Kittens eat more than adult cats so I would feed her two tins a day morning & evening. I would also leave out a days worth of biscuits for her each morning to snack on throughout the day. Bella is now 2 years old and I very rarely give her day food and she’s down to two meals a day. Some days she might eat a little more but two tins are enough for her especially because she’s an indoor cat she just plays a bit and sleeps 💕

Ragdolls apparently have sensitive stomachs but it’s still possible to feed them a varied diet. I always fed Bella high quality food however I noticed that her poos were still often a bit smelly & occasionally loose. I found that the nature’s variety dry food was a little too rich for her so now she’s on scrumbles. I found that as a kitten chicken breast would give Bella diarrhoea however that doesn’t happen anymore. It’s all trial and error really working out what foods your cat does & doesn’t like. When they are kittens they are very limited to what they can eat however once they are adults there’s so much more variety out there. It’s good to mix their food up a little because you don’t want to end up with one of their cats that will only eat one food. It becomes a problem when for whatever reason you can’t get your hands on the food or it gets reformulated or discontinued. So provide your cat with different meats & textures so if they go off something you always have a backup. Cats are fussy eaters but it’s even worse when you have a very fussy eater because then meal times become challenging & food gets wasted. A good way to add variety is to have about 2 staple foods/brands that you feed most days and then once a day every other day feed something new. It keeps meal times exciting but reduces the risk of them getting an upset stomach. 💕

She does eat dry food occasionally. I don’t feed it everyday anymore because it’s not that good for them. Ragdolls are prone to UTIs and Bella doesn’t drink a lot of water and yes she does have a fountain. Dry food doesn’t help clean their teeth that’s a myth. You need to actually brush their teeth and use dental powders etc to help break down the plaque which I do. Yes ! Bella does enjoy raw food however I don’t feed it to her as often as I would like. I can get nutriment from her at work which she enjoys but it comes in a tub so once I defrost it she has to eat it back to back for a few days. I really liked the brand purform because they sell raw food in pouches but the delivery is £8 and you have to have at least 10 items in your basket so either boxes of food or their very expensive treats so it puts me off ordering. I wish raw food was a little more easily accessible. Hey ! Some people say you have to get two ragdolls however I think it’s possible to have just the one maybe not long term but I see nothing wrong with getting a singular cat & in the future introducing another. Bella has things around the house to keep her occupied and I’m always buying her new toys and i swap them out to keep her entertained. She’s in a routine so she knows that I go to work and that I’m back at the same time each day and she waits for me at the door when it’s nearing that time. I spend almost every evening and weekend at home with Bella so I keep her company and when I can. Depending on my mums work hours sometimes she’s home during the day when I’m at work. I feed Bella breakfast at 6 and dinner at 6 every day and she knows that. If I won’t be home at 6 for whatever reason I get my mum to feed her. Bella seems to be very happy and content but she might feel a little lonely at times when I’m not with her but I do spend as much time as I can keeping her company. My boyfriend doesn’t actually have a Ragdoll so if we were to eventually move in together Bella would have a friend. Ragdolls do get on with dogs too so maybe in the future I might have a dog also but for now Bella does alright on her own 💕

I work from home so mine would have me around 95% of the time! Also is bella very cuddly? Online it says that ragdolls act like dogs when it comes to following owners around the house and sleeping near you. Im just wondering how it would be (:

@papasarah9446 Yes Bella adapted very well ! When we were on our way home with her she looked very content and comfortable she didn’t make a sound. Once we got home she stepped out the carrier and just plopped herself on the floor as if she had been here before. She settled in instantly which was nice. Bella is very clingy if you go toilet or have a shower she will come in with you or most of the time when you open the door she’s there waiting for you. They love to be in the same room as you and would often follow you around while you do your chores often trying to climb into every cupboard you open. If Bella can’t find me she will meow and I have to call her and she will come running. She’s not a cuddly cat at all. She will let me pick her up but she’s never sat on my lap. She never lays right next to me it’s rare if she does. She likes to be close to you mostly in the same room but she likes her space. The last few months she tends to sleep on the end of my bed it’s really cute. Ragdolls make such wonderful cats just be aware that they can have a heart condition called HMC, you also need to be mindful of their joints because they are heavy stocky cats & you will have cat hair on absolutely everything and it never goes away! No matter how much you brush them you will have fur everywhere 🙂 You might have seen but I do have a playlist of all the cat videos I’ve done. I do regular cat vlogs at the moment so you can see the day to day of what it’s like owning a Ragdoll ☺️💕

Yes Bella is spayed. I got her done a few months before she turned one ☺️ When it comes to getting your cat spayed or neutered it’s up to you however most people choose to do it and it’s best to get them done as kittens. It’s a good idea to get them done if you plan on having an outdoor cat although it’s not recommended for Ragdolls to be outdoor cats for various reasons. It’s much more comfortable for female cats to get done so they don’t go into season especially if you don’t plan on breeding them. 😂 I don’t know what it is about the feathers but Bella just adores them or licking anything fluffy ! She doesn’t try and eat them though 😂 she takes a more friendlier approach. I will definitely have to stock up on some more blink & seriously good for Godiva 😌 I wish Bella liked blink. She kinda eat it as a kitten but she was picky with the flavours then she just wouldn’t eat it anymore x
